  5. ADD+ON Advantage/V Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) module provides the
  6. information necessary to gain control of the purchasing, fabrication,
  7. assembly, and manpower requirements for a manufacturing company.  It draws
  8. inventory status from onhand quantities, open purchase order quantities, and
  9. customer order quantities.  This is used in conjunction with the Bill of
  10. Materials list, master item forecasts, and lead time to tell management what
  11. items must be ordered over the scheduled production period, when, and how much
  12. (Planned Order Report); what manpower and other resources are required to
  13. manufacture these items over the scheduled production period, and when they
  14. are needed (Planned Resources Report).  It also includes the ability to define
  15. multiple forecast scenarios, each with up to 26 variable length production
  16. periods.  Planned work orders and purchase requisitions may be generated.  A
  17. pegging report shows the details of shortages and requirements.
